Mr. Kashdin is the Chief Financial Officer for Hovde’s investment bank and affiliated merchant banking and asset management entities. In this role, he is responsible for oversight of the daily accounting function and financial reporting for the company.

Prior to joining Hovde Financial in October 2000 as the Controller, Mr. Kashdin was a manager with the large regional New York City accounting firm, Anchin, Block, & Anchin LLP. Mr. Kashdin began his public accounting career in 1994 at the firm of Seitz and McCudden P.A. in Wilmington, DE. While in public accounting, Mr. Kashdin has worked extensively on audits and tax engagements for a wide range of commercial clientele.

A native of Syracuse, NY, Mr. Kashdin earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting from the University of Delaware where he was a member of a nationally ranked Division I lacrosse program. Mr. Kashdin is a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the Greater Washington Society of CPAs and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

Mr. Kashdin is involved with Community Tax Aid, Inc. (CTA) a not-for-profit, tax-exempt organization that provides free federal and state income tax preparation services to low-income individuals and families in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. He also actively participates in programs of World Vision, a humanitarian organization dedicated to helping poor and oppressed communities worldwide.

Mr. Kashdin is married with two children and resides in North Potomac, Maryland.
