As Director of Marketing for Hovde Financial, Inc., Ms.
Kriewald leads the firm’s marketing efforts by managing
all marketing, advertising, and public relations initiatives
and significantly contributing to the overall marketing
strategy.
Prior to joining Hovde Financial, Ms. Kriewald was Vice
President and Director of Equity Risk Management in the
Corporate and Executive Services Group at Legg Mason Wood
Walker, Inc. In this role, Ms. Kriewald developed equity
risk management strategies and other strategic wealth protection
and liquidity solutions for high net worth individuals and
institutions. Prior to this position, Ms. Kriewald was an
Associate in Legg Mason’s Sales Development division
where she worked to grow the firm’s Private Client
Group.
Ms. Kriewald received her Master of Business Administration
degree with a concentration in Marketing and International
Business from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at
the University of Maryland. She also received Master of
Science and Bachelor of Science degrees from Towson University.
Ms. Kriewald is licensed as a registered representative
with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.
Ms. Kriewald has
served as a Director of the LM Mentoring Program, a long-term
initiative developed through an alliance with Baltimore
Mentoring Partnership and Baltimore City Public Schools.
In addition, she has taught high school students through
the semester-long “Success Skills” program,
sponsored by Junior Achievement. Ms. Kriewald has also served
as Company Leader for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure
and has been active in fundraising for the United Way.
She actively participates in programs run by World Vision
and recently served as part of the Hovde team that traveled
to Lesotho (Southern Africa) to provide humanitarian assistance.
In addition, she is a member of Hovde's Charity Committee
and regularly participates in activities of the Dinner Program
for Homeless Women in Washington, DC.
