Mr. Sorenson is responsible for capital raising and investor relations for Hovde Capital Advisors LLC. 

Prior to joining the Hovde Capital Investor Relations team, Mr. Sorenson served as Senior Sales Manager for Eurex US/Eurex AG, the world’s leading futures and options exchange, in Chicago, IL.  In this role, he managed the client development team and was directly responsible for creating and expanding client relationships for the Exchange.  In addition, while at Eurex US/Eurex AG, Mr. Sorenson successfully launched the company’s derivatives exchange.  Previously, Mr. Sorenson was Sales Manager for Xetra, the trading system for the cash market of Deutsche Börse AG.  In this Frankfurt, Germany-based role, Mr. Sorenson expanded international relationships throughout Europe and led projects to increase volume for the Frankfurter Wertpapierbörse (FWB).  Further, Mr. Sorenson provided consultative services to banks and other financial institutions on legal, technical, clearing, and settlement issues related to electronic trading. 

Mr. Sorenson earned a Master of International Business degree from Pepperdine University and a Bachelor of Science degree, Magna Cum Laude with Special Honors in Management, from Jacksonville State University.  He was a USAA All-American Scholar, an Academic All-American, and a scholarship-awarded varsity basketball player.  In addition, Mr. Sorenson matriculated at the European Business School for International Business Studies in Germany and is fluent in German.

Mr. Sorenson is married and has three children.
