Mr. Turner is responsible for the analysis and valuation of investment opportunities for Hovde Capital Advisors, particularly those companies in the specialty finance sector.
Prior to joining Hovde Capital, Mr. Turner was a Senior Analyst at Barrier Investments in Washington D.C. He has additional sell-side experience covering the specialty finance sector at FBR Capital Markets Corp and several years experience working in the banking industry.
Mr. Turner is originally from the Washington D.C./Northern Virginia area. He graduated Beta Gamma Sigma from the University of Pittsburgh’s Katz Graduate School of Business where he received his Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Randolph-Macon College. He holds series 7, 63, 65, 86 and 87 licenses from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority. Mr. Turner is married and lives in Arlington, VA.
