Since the company's
founding, the Hovde Organization has been firmly and consistently
committed to supporting the domestic and international community
through charitable projects. This involvement, which has
included both volunteer and financial support, has always
been a cornerstone of Hovde culture and is thus aptly named
the “Heart of Hovde.”
Hovde’s significant contributions have been fueled and guided by Eric D. Hovde and Steven D. Hovde. Eric and Steve have contributed over $6.5 million into the Hovde Foundation, which they created in 1998. The Hovde Foundation makes grants to various causes with two particular focuses: assistance to people in crisis and clinical research in the field of Multiple Sclerosis. Many of the grants have been in partnership with World Vision and the Myelin Project, two globally-known organizations that focus on causes important to the Hovde Foundation.
In 2007, the Hovde Organization became a founding sponsor of the No Greater Sacrifice Foundation, a District of Columbia not for profit corporation whose mission is “to help educate and mentor the children of our nation's men and women who have fallen in the line of duty.”
In
addition, through these opportunities provided by Hovde senior
management, Hovde employees are able to participate in a variety
of unique, meaningful, and life-altering projects. Hovde will
continue these sponsorships in the future and will provide
team members with the opportunity to contribute to meaningful
charitable projects both at home and around the world. |
