Through a partnership with World Vision, a humanitarian organization dedicated to helping poor and oppressed communities worldwide, Hovde employees are able to assist children, families, and entire communities globally by providing material, social, and emotional support. Importantly, and in contrast to many other workplace charity programs, Hovde employees actually visit these challenged regions and are given the opportunity to “roll up their sleeves” and see first-hand the difference they make for people living under very difficult circumstances.

Iin 2008, Hovde team members traveled to Zambia in Southern Africa in conjunction with World Vision and World Bicycle Relief to help address the ongoing HIV/AIDS crisis. In addition to building numerous bicycles for distribution to community home-based care volunteers, disease prevention educators and vulnerable households, several members of the Hovde team initiated sponsorship of children whom they visited outside of Lusaka, Zambia.
