Mr. Mandel is responsible for evaluating the financial and strategic options of financial institutions, performing financial analyses and valuations of banks and thrifts, and assessing the impact of national and regional trends on the financial services industry.
Prior to joining Hovde Financial, Mr. Mandel was an equity options trader in a private investment company that specialized in proprietary trading. While there, he was responsible for trading the firm’s capital and researching new market opportunities.
Mr. Mandel, a native of Russia, earned his undergraduate degree in Economics from Lake Forest College in Illinois.
