Mr. Morton is responsible for evaluating the financial and strategic options of financial institutions, performing financial analyses and valuations of banks and thrifts, and assessing the impact of national and regional trends on the financial services industry.
Prior to joining Hovde Financial, Mr. Morton was in training at Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina-based Automated Trading Desk, LLC, which is now part of Citigroup, on their Proprietary Trading Desk. While there, he was responsible for trading the Firm’s capital and assisting in executing customer order flow.
Mr. Morton earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance, cum laude, from the College of Charleston. He also competed for Charleston Men’s Golf as a member of its nationally ranked Division I team. Mr. Morton is licensed with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority as a registered representative (Series 7, 55, and 63). |
