Mr. Barnes is responsible for evaluating the financial and strategic options of financial institutions, performing financial analyses and valuations of banks and thrifts, and assessing the impact of national and regional trends on the financial services industry.
Prior to joining Hovde Financial, Mr. Barnes was an analyst in the investment banking department of A.G. Edwards/Wachovia where he focused on completing financings for senior living facilities and acute care hospitals.
Mr. Barnes earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Denver and also successfully competed as a swimmer at the Division I level. Mr. Barnes is licensed with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority as a registered representative (Series 7).
