Hovde Private Equity Advisors LLC, the private equity business, was founded in 1994 to create partnerships and invest partner private equity capital within the financial services industry. Since this time, our private equity practice has grown significantly to comprise equity investments in nine community banks and thrifts and form specialty finance/financial services companies. These investments include ownership of approximately 70% of Sunwest Bank, an OTC Bulletin Board-traded bank (symbol: SWBC), and 55% of US Capital, a regional insurance premium finance company.
