Mr. Beimler sources private investment opportunities for Hovde Private Equity Advisors and implements the acquisition strategy for investments by the private equity funds. Specific areas of concentration are the banking, thrift, leasing and specialty finance sectors. As Portfolio Manager, Mr. Beimler also oversees the investment funds’ on-sight due diligence efforts and is actively involved in overseeing and managing the private equity investments.
Prior to joining Hovde, Mr. Beimler served in numerous
senior managerial roles during his 25-year banking career.
Positions have included Executive Vice President and Chief
Credit Officer for Fleet Bank of New York, a $10 billion
commercial bank, and Riggs National Corporation, a $6 billion
commercial bank in Washington, D.C. Additionally,
he has been instrumental in bank and thrift turnarounds
while serving on numerous boards and acting as an interim
chief executive officer. As such, Mr. Beimler is experienced
in strategic planning, asset liability management, consolidation
and merger planning and execution, credit approval, and
portfolio management.
Mr. Beimler has provided consulting, litigation support,
and training course development for various private and
governmental entities. Mr. Beimler has also provided consulting
services in regard to significant real estate bankruptcies,
international banking failures, and insurance company fraud.
Mr. Beimler has extensive experience in training course
development and delivery, having served as an adjunct college
lecturer, banking school presenter, and industry conference
speaker.
In his civic activities and charitable endeavors, Mr. Beimler
has filled various leadership roles for numerous community
organizations, which include the United Way, the Boy Scouts
of America, the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, and the
Rochester Museum and Science Center.
Mr. Beimler received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the
State University of New York at Geneseo and completed the
three year program at Stonier School of Banking at Rutgers
University.
